Study lines with higher level Social Studies

Choose one of the STX Social Studies lines if you want to understand the society you live in and the global world we are all a part of.

Your higher level subjects are Social Studies and either Mathematics or English.

You will conduct opinion polls during elections, and you may have the opportunity to visit local businesses, go on study trips, or have visits from politicians at school.

What do you learn in higher level Social Studies?

You will gain current knowledge about local and global affairs, as well as theory that provides insight into how they are interconnected. Here are some examples:

What does clothing production in Bangladesh have to do with you? – More than you might think.

What does the energy crisis mean for you? Why do so many young people experience dissatisfaction?

Why is there war in Ukraine? – Why are there conflicts in the world in general, and can Denmark play a role?

Which political party will you vote for when you get the right to vote? Well, we won’t tell you, but you will get a grasp of the parties so you can make your own decision.
