Students on a Trip

The destinations were Copenhagen, Barcelona, Paris and Vienna

Studieture og sprogrejser med Grenaa Gymnasium

In the first week of April, Grenaa Gymnasium was very quiet. The first-year students went on a three-day excursion to Copenhagen, the second-year students went on language trips to Spain, France, and Austria, and the IB1 students went on a study trip to Copenhagen.

The first-year students visited, among other places, the Home of Carlsberg, gaining insight into one of the companies that helped shape the Denmark we know today and which was behind the Glyptotek with its significant collections of both ancient and modernist art. Another program point was a photo safari, which gave the students the opportunity to independently experience some of the central monuments in inner Copenhagen. For some of the students, it was their first time in Copenhagen.

The IB1 students also went to Copenhagen and visited, among other places, Glyptoteket and Christiania. They also met with a Danish MP at the parliament and attended a performance in the opera of the Royal Danish Theatre.

The second-year students went on language trips to practice their practical language skills in their second foreign language and to get a firsthand impression of the respective country’s cultural and societal conditions. This included school visits in Barcelona, Paris, and Vienna.
