How to eat dark rye bread with pleasure

Danish ab initio Grenaa Gymnasium IB World School

Quite a few of our IB students choose Danish ab initio in order to acquire proficiency in speaking, reading, writing and understanding spoken Danish.

They also learn about Danish culture and traditions. Last week a science lab day collided with a Danish ab initio lesson and most of the students could not attend their Danish lesson. So, the remaining students had their own traditional-Danish-open-rye-bread-sandwich lab.

What is combined in an open rye sandwich? Why is the spread of butter so important? And don’t forget to make the slice of lemon stand! And so, some had the eye-opening experience that the meaning of dark rye bread is a layer of butter and deli meats.
