When theory meets practice
Last week, students taking biology as an elective at B-level had a very special experience when they helped plant eelgrass on the seabed off Gjerrild Nordstrand.
The local oceanarium, Kattegatcentret, in Norddjurs Municipality is leading a three-year nature restoration project. 20,000 eelgrass plants will be planted to create habitats for animals, improve water quality, and bind CO2.
The students approached the task with great enthusiasm and high spirits.
