Før efterårsferien var 2.HF- og 3.g-eleverne på studieture
“A week away from the books, under foreign skies, and with time to spend together. It’s an offer most students would jump at. Teachers choose the destination and plan the itinerary with the aim of including experiences that push students slightly outside of their comfort zones, but which provide them with valuable experiences and new insights.
3.skm went to Liverpool, as several students study music at A-level, and everyone knows that Liverpool rhymes with The Beatles. However, incredibly, the city existed long before the Fab Four came together and was one of the most important cities during the Industrial Revolution.
3.xw went to Krakow, and 2.p and 2.q went to Prague together. Previously, they might not have given these two cities much thought, but now they know that these cities exist, are very beautiful, and that the Holocaust took place right on their doorsteps.”
3.u went to Rome, the Eternal City, and almost met the Pope. They of course saw the Colosseum, but also Mussolini’s square version in the EUR district, and thus saw an example of how people in power shape the past if we’re not careful.
