Music has a way of bringing people together.
This year’s first music café, held on the last Tuesday before the autumn break, was a huge success.
Around 100 students from STX, HF and IB came along to sing and play for each other. The school choir, GG-choir, with over 80 members, was a big draw.
Anyone can sign up to perform at a music café, but it’s especially popular with our music students. Music teacher Rie Kurdahl says it gives our lessons an extra boost, and the practice rooms are always busy when students know they have an audience.
Everyone in the audience is really supportive, so it’s a great experience for everyone involved.
