Nurturing Talent
For those who have the desire and will to cultivate professional interests even more.
The Music Wing – brand new and awesome!
Grenaa Gymnasium has very good facilities for music.
All music classes and a large part of practising take place in our brand new Music Wing with sound recording studio and high quality equipment.
Do you need to practise?
If you need to practise on your own or together with others, you can borrow a key for the music facilities. Inquire at the school office.
The Music Cafés are for everybody and about having a good time in a cosy atmosphere.
We spend a few hours together with music and anyone can grab an instrument or a microphone and entertain.
The Music Café is on Friday afternoons 3-4 times during a school year.

The Spring Concert and the Spring Exhibition is a joint event where all students attending Music, Visual Arts and/or Design perform and exhibit the results of their learning.
All works you have made in Visual Arts or Design form part of the exhibition that fills large parts of the school.
In the assembly hall the music classes are in concert.
Your family, yourself and everyone interested are welcome to attend both concert and exhibition.
Music genres
In Optional Music you get to try out different types of music, e.g. gospel, pop, rock and classical music.
Concerts
Sometimes we take part in choir projects with other high schools. This could take us to e.g. Aarhus for concerts.
During the year we give small concerts at Grenaa Gymnasium, for example at morning assemblies, the end-of-term Christmas celebration, the Spring Concert and the Graduation Ceremony.
For everyone
You do not have to have any experience with singing or playing.

Every second year you can be part of a great musical show at Grenaa Gymnasium. You will experience the fantastic feeling of being one among a hundred people who work like one to carry through successfully a show in front of a packed assembly hall. Friends, family and teachers – all there and full of expectations!
You can be part of it in several ways:
The musical project is led by some of the school’s teachers.
Auditions are held for roles with solo singing.
